What happens after the data is in
Whichever way the data arrives, Appsentia calculates the same things: the sick leave absenteeism rate for the company, each department and each employee, the direct wage cost of sick leave in Rand, an attendance risk score from 0 to 100 for every employee, and flags for short sick spells on Mondays or Fridays, next to public holidays, on payday or next to other leave. Appsentia does not replace your payroll, HRIS or clocking system. It reads leave records; it does not read rosters, clock-in data or medical information.

Does Appsentia integrate with Sage?
Yes. Appsentia connects to Sage and any other leave management or payroll system that has an API. We set up the connection with you. Until it is live, you can upload a leave export from Sage in Excel or CSV.
Does Appsentia integrate with PaySpace?
Yes. Appsentia is a PaySpace partner. You enter your PaySpace API credentials in Settings, run a first full sync, and Appsentia then syncs employees and leave every night.
Our system is not listed. Can we still use Appsentia?
Yes. If your system has an API, we can connect to it. If it does not, any system that can export leave records to Excel or CSV works with the upload, and you map your columns once.
Which plans include API connections?
API connections are on the Professional and Enterprise plans. Excel and CSV upload is available on every plan, including the 30-day free trial.
What data does Appsentia need?
For each leave record: employee number, surname, initials, leave type, start date, end date and number of days. Add department if you want department views. Appsentia does not need diagnoses, medical certificates or salary details per employee.
